TRANSFORM 1:1 Programme
After three years living in a foreign country where exercise was nigh-on impossible and the diet was heavy on oil, I needed a complete reboot – I felt bloated and tired. On my return to the UK I embarked with trepidation on the 6-week programme with Louise Parker and started visiting for appointments each week. I stuck to the programme, never felt hungry and the weight fell off despite the fact that an injury kept me away from boosting my activity levels..My trepidation receded and I extended to 12 weeks. Weight loss was satisfying but this programme is so much more than that.
My consultant, Lydia, helped me to learn a new approach to providing my body with what it needs while avoiding the food groups that sap energy. She was a steadfast companion who guided me through a number of valuable lessons. I learnt that even when travelling for work I was able to find ways to nourish myself better than in the past. I learnt the remarkable impact of stress and pain as I literally saw my body turn muscle into fat. Most of all I have developed a sustainable, healthy eating plan that will last into the future. A few weeks after the end of the 12 weeks I no longer feel guilty about that slice of gooey chocolate cake as I trust myself to get back on plan and to stay there most of the time. While the investment is significant, I would thoroughly recommend this programme to people who feel that their relationship with food is out of whack and who need to be guided back onto a path that can fit into a busy modern life without the need for deprivation.
